Corundum brick is a refractory material product with an alumina content greater than 90%

Corundum brick is a refractory material product with an alumina content greater than 90%, mainly composed of corundum as the main crystalline phase. It has very high compressive strength at room temperature (up to 340 MPa). High load softening start temperature (greater than 1700 ℃). Good chemical stability, with strong resistance to acidic or alkaline slag, metals, and glass melts. Thermal shock resistance is related to its microstructure. Dense products have good corrosion resistance, but poor thermal shock resistance.
It is divided into two types: sintered corundum brick and fused corundum brick. Sintered alumina and fused corundum can be used as raw materials, or high Al2O3/SiO2 ratio bauxite clinker can be combined with sintered alumina to produce sintered products. It can also be made into unfired corundum bricks using phosphoric acid or other binders.
Corundum bricks are mainly used in iron smelting blast furnaces and hot blast stoves, steelmaking refining furnaces, sliding water devices, glass melting furnaces, and petrochemical industrial furnaces.
